Pampers' Homework.

So, Pampers wants me to help with her HW.

After reading it thoroughly, I realized that "she" is a train.

AHH. Okay, 1st question...

1. what does the title The Express, refer to? what words or phrases in poem help to identify it?

The title The Express, refers to a train. "She" is a train.

But gliding like a queen, she leaves the station.

She passes the houses which humbly crowd outside,

The gasworks, and at last the heavy page

gathering speed

tunnels, brakes,

wheels.

So, clearly, this Queen is a train. That is why its called The Express.

2nd question:

2. what impression of the train you get from the poem? what details give these impression?

I got the impression that The train was new. :P

After the first powerful, plain manifesto

Well manifesto also means Public Appearance.

err. these are just guesses -__-'

3rd Question::

3. what is the manifesto of the train? why do you think does the poet call it the manifesto?

Her Pistols? :)) cuz their new? IDK! GAH

4th Question::

4. what is the train compared to in the third line of the poem?what is the reason for the comparison?
A Queen. Maybe because, she was like the Queen of the rails. duh. The real question is.. Who was the King.. HUH?

5th Question::

5. what is the train compared to in the tenth line of the poem?what is the reason for the comparison?

Well, I guess, she radiated and reflected light like the ships on the ocean. (thankyouu dictionary~)

6th Question::

6. which sound of the train is compared to a song? do you agree with the comparison? explain
The Whistle. Yes, it does sound like its screaming. right?

7th Question::

7. do you think the train is an ugly intrusion on nature? cite details to support you answer
Well, it does help with the transportation of people. It has been a great help to man for years. I don't really think it's an ugly intrusion, its just an intrusion. Hardly fair. We live here too, nature Isn't the only thing inhabiting this place.

But then, GLOBAL WARMING. STOP TRAINS! THE SMOKE IS KILLING THE OZONE LAYER!!
AM I MAKING ANY SENSE? :)) try to understand my gnarled mind. :)

8th Question::

8. what statement on modern living may be inferred from the poem? do you agree with it? explain

uhh. stop global warming? use a bike, or a pogo stick :) idk.

Okay, so if you guys know some of the answers here in Pamper's homework, Hit us up with a comment ayt? :)) HELP US FOR CRISPS SAKE!
